The Mortgage Insider Interviewed For Article Critical of No Cost Mortgage Advertisers

I was interviewed last week by a reporter for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Bill Torpy, who published an article critical of “no-cost’ mortgage advertisers like Lenox Financial.

The article published on September third in the newspaper of record for Atlanta Georgia is one of the first I’ve seen that clearly exposes the truth about the so-called No Cost Mortgage in the mainstream media. I don’t know if the hard light used by Mr. Torpy was because the premier perpetrator of this deceptive advertising is sitting in his own back yard of Atlanta or because mortgage advertising revenue in newspapers is virtually non-existent these days…and I don’t care.

I’m just glad someone finally had the courage to print a damning article on No Cost Mortgage Advertisers!

I felt all alone writing about the dangerous eventualities should you be inclined to listen to any of these advertisements promoting “no-cost”, “flat fee”, or other mortgage programs designed to convince you there is a “free lunch” in the mortgage industry.

Believe me in this industry what passes as a “free lunch” will end up costing you double!

Just in case you missed some of my writings on this topic let me lay out all the articles here for your easy access:

Lenox Financial Mortgage Review

If you are currently in the market for a mortgage, the proper way to shop for a mortgage is not by comparing offers from a handful of lenders or to take the easy way out by calling one of these national dubious advertisers.

Proper mortgage shopping is simply finding an ethical, expert mortgage provider operating in your locale. Find the right provider and the right mortgage takes care of itself. Use a member of what I call, “the hidden elite”, of the mortgage industry …the top 3% of all mortgage professionals. Build a long term relationship with this professional so you can utilize his/her services again and again… ending mortgage shopping as most folks know it forever.

Learn just how to go about this process and read all about our mortgage shopping system here.

There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything…and listening to deceptive mortgage ads on the TV and radio is definitely the wrong way!

Good Luck.

UPDATE:11/12/2007: The Atlanta Journal Constitution REMOVED the article from their website and EVEN their archive…look for No Cost Advertisers Lenox Financial, Countrywide Home Loans, and Bank of America to start filling AJC’s coffers with advertising dollars….why else would they remove a post that got them nation wide attention?
