Bayview preys on the struggling family and kills American dreams. I got behind on my payments and tried to work with their collections department. They decided to foreclose anyway. They appraised the property for half of what I paid for it and sold it for only 2/3 of the appraised amount. Now they are suing me to collect the difference – which is over $100,000! I am a struggling single parent who lives check to check. This is insane! How can big companies get bailed out, yet our government does nothing to help the middle class family?
Even though Bayview has a judgment against you, you still have rights. Most states have laws about collecting judgments and part, if not all, of your income may be exempt from any collections.

I have owned my home over 10 years. My loan was for $49,900.00. To date, I owe $44, 545.00. How is that even possible?
I am locked in a 9.5% interest rate. Bayview/Interbay refuses to allow me to re-finance my loan. Initially, they only re-financed commercial loans. I asked for a loan modification when I lost my job. I was refused. I was told to contact them if I was in default to speak with a representative to help me. There was no help offered, I was again refused the option to refinance.

Use an online loan payment calculator to figure out what your total payment will be on your loan including interest. Then deduct what you have paid. You should request a “Transaction History” for your loan from Bayview and you should contact your local HUD office for information on getting your loan refinanced.
If Bayview does not provide you the information you request or you think any information you have received (including your closing documents)is wrong- GET AN ATTORNEY. Refusing to provide an ACCURATE account statement violates Federal Law and they have a history of collection violations.
NOTE: Transaction History- needs to have ALL the payments you have made since you got the loan.
