CitiMortgage Review
Any retail mortgage seller that services their own loans with this many consumer complaints ranging from mis-allocated payments to erroneous late fees should be avoided. They are big pushers of credit cards, home equity loans, and debt consolidation mortgages. Just click the link to read what I think of the debt consolidation mortgage.
From the standpoint of a bank customer who’s looking for a depositor bank, CitiBank even thought they have been hit by the mortgage crisis, should do better than most regional banks. But like all banks, never put more than $100,000 into any single bank.
It appears when I search for complaints against CitiMortgage, there are many. Click the link to see all the CitiMortgage complaints listed in Google.

These are the biggest crooks around. If anyone knows of a class action suit, please let me know. They have haressed us to point of making us ill. We were given a repayment plan. We have always done as agreed. Yet they call us constantly asking for more money and access to our checking account.
The problem started last year when we asked for help after the hurricane. We had paid them on time every month for over 5 years. and then we had Hurrican Ike. We were given a 3 month grace period and then a repayment plan. We have done what was agreed to. Yet they treat us like dead beats. They have lied so many times. Completely dishonest corporation. They need to be held accountable.
We got the loan modification by done by Citimortgage in Aug’2009.After 2 months we got a foreclosure notice. When we asked they are telling several stories
1. Ignore the letter
2. there is an error in the Modification agreement
3. You need to reapply
When i told them when there is a valid agreement and i am willing to honor, how can you cancel the permanant loan modification agreement? There is no answer from them.
It is a big harassment by them. They don’t talk properly.
Whether anyone experienced same problem?
Dear Citi Mortgage Complaint Department,
I Kenneth Iadimarco am requesting that Citi Mortgage refund in the amount of $595.00 in overdraft fees to my Regions bank checking account. When I went online to make my payment it asked if I would like to make my 09/01/09 payment of 865.36 so I had proceeded by checking the box provided. I then chose submit, which then brought me to the verify payment page. After seeing the information provided, which clearly showed my payment date 09/01/09 in the amount of $865.36 would be debited from my Regions bank checking account I had proceeded to the conformation page. The next day approximately 3:00 p.m. 09/16/09 there were not (1) one but (2) two mortgage payments deducted from Regions bank checking account. After several calls to customer service I was getting nowhere. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. I then spoke to Mark Roe a Citi Mortgage Supervisor in India. I then and explained my situation and he was very polite and worked with me to resolve the issue. He had told me that if I place a check mark in the make this month’s payment now it would deduct not (1) one but (2) two payments, which then had me confused because there is no other way to proceed to the next page without checking the make payment box. The make payment web site does not indicate nor explain that when checking the make this month’s payment check box it would deduct (2) mortgage payments. This is very misleading and in turn has caused me much difficulty with my bank. I went to speak with a Regions bank Manager to explain what had happened and to see if they can help me with the situation. Below is a scanned signed letter, written upon my behalf, from the Regions bank manager. I hope that we can resolve this issue in a timely matter.
Sincerely,
Kenneth Alan Iadimarco
Citi…looted my checking account for $1700 (made up a check number) pursuant to a check-by-phone payment. Totally dishonest. If you do that a million times a year it starts adding up. And the level of deniablity is unreal. They blame it on ME!
