Wilshire Credit Corporation Review
Wilshire Credit Corporation is a sub-servicer, meaning they service mortgages belonging to others. They may still have the authority to negotiate loan modifications on behalf of the actual mortgage holder, so if you are in default start with a phone call.

Wilshire Credit Corporation has totally ruined us financially. The constant lies and added fees make it really hard to have faith in our government. Where is the “fraud team” and how can this company keep functioning? They are impossible to deal with as they have told me the following… Lost your check. Lost your fax (a 16 page loan modifacation application) 4 times! Lost check again so I gave them a payment via ACH transaction… it was just a coincidence that the original “lost checked” cleared our account the next day. “thats an appraisal fee… attorney fees, etc,… on and on. To date I can not get a statment from them, pay on their website or by auto pay over the phone. We aree blocked. I need alot more space here to give you the entire story. Email me at maminblack@aol.com if you want to band together… we need a huge number of citizens to get some action on this company.
I have a friend to whom this corporation lent far more money than the house was worth. the guy was too trusting of the agents he was working with, should have known better; but it should have been the lending agency where the buck stopped. Yet they gave him two loans at outrageous interest (no money down, 12% variable) with ballooning interest rate he didn’t know about. Do you know others with a similar story? The government really should do something about wilshire. the whole lot of them should be in jail.
Wilshire is just a servicing company, they didn’t fund the loans… so your comment doesn’t make any sense
Our loan funded through Aegis funding, sold to Merrill with in two weeks, Aegis goes into bankruptcy. Ended up in interested only 3yr arm, broker out of business two weeks after closing.
Modification with Merrill through Wilshire in June 08. Requested on Oct 1, 2008 for President Bush’s housing recover bill for our home. Sorry can’t help us says Wilshire. Hours cut at work due to economy. Sorry we can’t help says Wilshire. Houses in area on auction going for 49,000. We are paying taxes on $221,000. Boy are they getting a deal. Property insurance is over 2,200 a year, wonder what they are paying on 49,000.
Can you all see how upside down we are!
We have not been late with payments for over four years, but guess what, we are now
