My loan was also bought by GreenTree from BofA. They cashed my check for the 1st payment on April 10. It is now May 27 and they still have not credited my acct. They said it would happen soon but they were able to cash my 2nd check and apply it to my acct. I was called last week at my job and told I was late. I explained the situation to the guy and he did some research, found the check and said it would be applied to my account…we will see.
Also said they never received insurance info from my ins. company. They (ins. agent) are faxing it again & they have fax that will show if Greentree receives it. Currently going through a refinance with my credit union (the unapplied check was cashed on this bank). I have to go with a ten year loan even though I was to be done in five w/ BoA. I do not trust GreenTree since they are unable to do simple accounting. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I would highly suggest contacting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau! My mortgage just got sold to Green Tree starting with the June 1st payment. If I have any of the trouble I have read about here, you can bet the CFPB will be hearing from me.
