Their website is very well done. It is clean and easy to understand. They have a special servicing fee schedule which describes certain fees they charge for a subordination or modification. I also read on there they do not charge a payoff fee if you order it personally but if a title company or mortgage company orders it, a fee is charged.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau numbers say that in 2011 they took in almost $1.9 billion in mortgage applications. Most of those were refinance applications. They are listed in the NMLS as TCF National Bank and also on the BBB which you can read below.
