As of July 2012, the NMLS has added a consumer complaint link on their website and Cherry Creek Mortgage does not have any regulatory actions in the NMLS.

Back in my loan officer days, I knew a number of folks who worked for Cherry Creek Mortgage and they were all good people. In the Denver market, which is the only market I can really speak about with first hand knowledge, they have a good reputation.

And if I remember correctly, years ago, The Mortgage Insider even did a refinance with them…before she met me!

All mortgage companies, banks, and credit unions are going to have a website. It depends on how functional it is and how much they pay attention to it.

Most mortgage websites have rates posted but read the fine print. It depends on your loan amount, credit score, etc. And also look for the date the mortgage rates were posted. Sometimes a company does not update their rates so you end up looking at information days or weeks old.

You may be taken to another site to input your online application but that is pretty normal. Many of these lenders use third party websites to take in the application.

You can usually find recent news on their websites including things like special programs or events.

Cherry Creek Mortgage Complaints and Ratings

And you may want to look at the BBB for complaints and ratings. On nmls.com, you can check make sure your Cherry Creek Mortgage loan officer is active and registered and for mortgage companies, (not banks or credit unions) you can see if any lawsuits/regulatory actions have been taken.

Good Luck!
